Why...
To answer the first part, Lagniappe (pronounced "Lan Yap") is a Louisiana tradition in which vendors give their customers a little something extra to show their appreciation for
the business. It's like going to the bakery, and getting a baker's dozen (13 for the price
of 12)... It's something we believe in.
New Orleans is the heart and soul of southern Louisiana. We moved back here post-Katrina with
the intention of being a part of the rebuild. We grew up here, and wanted to come back home and help. I personally had built a hosting company from nothing before... being the 1st (and for some time only) Microsoft Certified Hosting provider in Louisiana. But before moving out of state I sold the company.
Well we're back, and we're rebuilding the webhosting while helping to rebuild New Orleans.
A long term goal is to establish a hardened datacenter of our own in Southeastern Louisiana,
likely to be somewhere between New Orleans and Baton Rouge to expand our offerings.
Rest assured this is no pie in the sky dream, I've built a webhosting company before
(and now wish I hadn't sold it...) and will build this one up too. Next time some
corporation comes up and wants to buy a majority share of the company, the answer is
a resounding "No Thanks".
In short, the talent and desire to be a major provider is here. One think that is
different this time around, our focus. This time, we're going after the resellers,
vps, dedicated, and eventually co-lo, customers. Our business plan places us as a
wholesaler to other sellers. We're here to support you...
Oh... and yes we always do give lagniappe... Click the "Tell me more..." button to find
